SUMMER INTERNS
There is a big difference between learning about a career and actually getting to experience it.
A summer internship at Gould Cooksey Fennell gives students a behind-the-scenes look at how a successful law firm works. You will meet attorneys and professionals across the firm, contribute to real projects, learn how different teams work together, and get a much better sense of the opportunities that may be ahead of you.
And yes, we have some fun along the way.
Whether you are considering law school, exploring a career in business or simply looking for meaningful professional experience, a summer at GCF is an opportunity to learn, contribute and find out what interests you.
We want our interns to be part of the firm, not spend the summer watching from the sidelines.
Depending on your interests and the needs of the firm, you may have opportunities to work with different practice groups and departments, including Personal Injury, Estate Planning & Tax, Real Estate, Family Office Services, marketing, administration and other areas of the firm.
Projects vary, which is part of what makes the experience interesting. You may help organize information for an active matter, assist with research, work on a business or marketing project, learn about legal technology, help improve an internal process, or support attorneys and staff with the work happening throughout the firm.
You will also have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, learn from the people around you and see just how many different skills and careers come together inside a law firm.
Past Summer Intern
Working at Gould Cooksey Fennell for the first time, something that really surprised me was the incredible collaboration and partnership among everyone in the firm. I really value the fact that if someone needed help or advice on a situation, there were always three to five people ready to offer support and assistance. Everyone at GCF is very in tune with what is going on, and everyone’s priority is truly helping one another succeed and put their best foot forward.

What surprised me most at Gould Cooksey Fennell was how much teamwork and organization happens behind the scenes to keep a law firm running smoothly. I also did not expect to gain such immediate, hands-on exposure to diverse practice areas like Real Estate contract adjustments and Personal Injury litigation, so early in my career.
One of the best parts of interning at GCF is that no two days have to look exactly the same.
You may spend part of your summer learning about a legal matter and another part working on a project completely outside of what you expected. Along the way, you will meet people with different backgrounds, learn how a professional office operates and start developing skills you can take with you wherever your career leads.
Our goal is simple: when the summer is over, we want you to leave GCF with more experience, more confidence and a better idea of what you might want to do next.

Our interns get to experience the people and culture that make our firm special. Summer can include team lunches, office events, community activities, social gatherings and, every now and then, an afternoon Kona Ice break.
Those moments are part of the experience too.
They give you a chance to get to know attorneys and staff outside of an assignment, meet people throughout the firm and enjoy being part of the GCF team for the summer.
We work hard, but we also enjoy spending time together and being part of the community we call home.
