Samia G. Bennouna is a member of the Firm’s Estate Planning & Tax Group. Samia’s practice areas include estate planning, estate administration, tax planning and business transactions.
Samia represents clients with entity formations, tax restructuring, complex estate and gift tax planning and income tax planning matters to include minimizing federal gift, estate and income taxes to protect assets for future generations. She also assists in an advisory capacity pertaining to strategic planning and tax reporting.
Samia graduated from the University of Central Florida with an undergraduate degree in Legal Studies and earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. After law school, Samia earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Prior to joining Gould Cooksey Fennell, Samia worked at a large firm where she focused on real property litigation representing title insurance companies, real estate investors, owners, mortgage lenders, landlords, and tenants.
Samia now resides in Vero Beach, Florida and enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.

Notable Settlements and Verdicts
Plaintiff was operating a small motorcycle/scooter when a 91 year old man turned left in front of him hitting him essentially head on. As a result of the collision, the Plaintiff sustained catastrophic injuries to his lower body, including snapped femurs and fractures to the spine and pelvis. After a two week trial the Indian River County jury returned an award totaling $9.381 million.
Medical negligence claim arising out of a breach in the standard of care by a physician and hospital in which an incorrect, corrosive chemical was used during a gynecological procedure, resulting in acid burns and severe permanent injuries to the Plaintiff.
A Brevard County Jury awarded Plaintiff $6.4M against Defendant State Farm, following an accident that resulted in numerous catastrophic orthopedic injuries, including a below knee amputation of the Plaintiff’s left leg.
