Owen D. Beylus is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Group. Owen’s practice includes commercial and residential real estate transactions, land use and zoning matters, and real‑estate financing. The Real Estate Group assists property owners, investors, and lenders with purchases, sales, development projects, and secured financing transactions, drafting purchase and sale agreements, preparing security instruments, and reviewing title and survey materials to help resolve closing issues. Owen supports these efforts, which also include preparing zoning and site‑plan applications, coordinating with civil engineers and other consultants to assemble the technical submissions required by local authorities. Owen’s practice also includes entity formation and structuring. He helps organize limited liability companies and other special‑purpose entities, prepares governance and related transactional documents, and works closely with accountants and tax advisors to align ownership and capital structures with each client’s objectives.

Plaintiff was operating a small motorcycle/scooter when a 91 year old man turned left in front of him hitting him essentially head on. As a result of the collision, the Plaintiff sustained catastrophic injuries to his lower body, including snapped femurs and fractures to the spine and pelvis. After a two week trial the Indian River County jury returned an award totaling $9.381 million.
Medical negligence claim arising out of a breach in the standard of care by a physician and hospital in which an incorrect, corrosive chemical was used during a gynecological procedure, resulting in acid burns and severe permanent injuries to the Plaintiff.
A Brevard County Jury awarded Plaintiff $6.4M against Defendant State Farm, following an accident that resulted in numerous catastrophic orthopedic injuries, including a below knee amputation of the Plaintiff’s left leg.
