GCF’s Personal Injury Team Earns $2.9 Million Verdict for Car Accident Victim

On Monday, GCF’s personal injury trial team of Jason OdomDane Ullian, and David Carter earned a $2.9 million jury verdict in Indian River County on behalf of a deserving client whose own insurance company treated him unfairly. The client, who owned his own local landscaping company, was on his way to a customer’s house when an underinsured driver ran a red light at 40mph striking the client’s vehicle, causing the client to suffer significant injuries to his neck and back, requiring two surgeries, and the need for future surgery.

The client had planned ahead by carrying uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage for years before the crash, but unfortunately, after he filed his claim, the insurance company failed to fairly evaluate the claim, offering to pay only a small fraction of the client’s medical expenses. GCF refused to let the insurance company get away with unfairly treating its own insured, and took the case to trial, achieving a deserved result for the client.
